ENDY MATTRESS 100 NIGHT REVIEW

If you had a chance to check out my previous posts about our Endy journey, you would know how much it's changed our sleep! From the moment we received our Canadian made mattress-in-a-box, we've had nothing but great things to say about it.  Let me take you back to the beginning and explain how EASY unboxing it is. This huge mattress is  "compressed, rolled, and shipped in a box the size of a hockey bag". All you need to do is open the box, unroll the mattress on your bed, cut the bag open, watch it expand instantly, e t voil à   you've got yo urself a brand new mattress that's completely ready for you to sleep on within a few minutes!  I've always had such a hard time sleeping because, well, I'm a mom of two and my daughter still wakes me up at night for various reasons, and because of that, I always find it so hard to go back to sleep after. After switching to Endy, I've been finding such a big difference especially with falling back asleep at nig...

Kids’ room makeover

Hey you, it’s been a while, hope you’re staying safe and doing well! I’ve been wanting to write this for so long but so many things got in the way (ahem pandemic), so here I am finally sharing every little detail about my kids’ bedroom makeover.

Anthony had his own bedroom and Chloé had her nursery, but of course she outgrew her crib and we needed a change. Also, they both always complained about being too scared to sleep alone and they wanted someone to sleep next to them. So, we decided to put them both in a shared bedroom, this way they bond and they won’t be ‘scared’ anymore.

First thing I did, was sell Coco’s nursery, it was so hard letting go of it because it had been Anthony’s as well, but I had to do it and it felt so good once I saw an empty room, a blank canvas, ready for a fresh new look!

Here’s a look at her nursery:

I had already brainstormed ideas, and got some inspiration from the one and only Pinterest.

So we painted the room, and I really wanted to add wallpaper on one wall. I had a few ideas in mind, but I wasn't sure if it would make the room look too busy so instead I decided to make a little accent wall by adding another colour we had some left over paint from when we painted the basement). Then, we bought the bed from Ikea, which is actually a twin bed that you can turn into a bunk bed by adding another mattress at the bottom. My talented handy husband built the the top part and added it to the bed. We were on a roll but then, 2020 decided to make things interesting so were put under a lockdown and all stores closed down. This meant we had to put everything on hold.

The good thing is that online shopping was still available so I made a few purchases from H&M for the kids’ bedding, which was amazing because their duvet sets are only $29.99 and they are good quality. I also found the rug at Home Depot which was on sale back then, so I found the same one on sale now at Bed Bath & Beyond and I linked it at the bottom. The light is from Bouclair, I purchased it a few years ago but I found similar ones which I have also linked.

When the lockdown was finally lifted, I purchased two large frames from Ikea and a few prints from Etsy. I love buying printable wall art because there are so many options to choose from and you are free to print whichever size you want and as many as you need.

The other side of the room has the storage unit, also from Ikea, which doubles as a bench. I filled it with the kids' towels and blankets. as well as their seasonal clothes. I recently added the two book shelves which are actually spice racks also from Ikea and they're only $6.99!
